mraf Posted January 3, 2009 #3 Posted January 3, 2009 Great New Years here. Oldest son, now a drill Sargent at Ft. Leanordwood, Missouri was home for Christmas and New Year. First time in many years he has been home this long. Says he's leaving any day now. It's good to know we did something right!

Our son is on vacation after having a rotten year, so the hubby and I decided to "extreme makeover" his kitchen. Ripped up the old, icky, subfloor, put down a new wood floor, painted his kitchen cabinets, and put a new counter top on for him. He gets home tomorrow night and we can't wait to suprise him. We're pooped!! I'm to old for this kind of thing anymore!!!
rosebud Posted January 5, 2009 #5 Posted January 5, 2009 Ours was fun, our oldest daughter got engaged. They are hoping to be able to get married later this year if all their plans work out - this could mean a major shift in our plans but that's okay.
