tufftom4 Posted January 3, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 3, 2009 I had the dreaded wobble in the front end of my 84 VR and after talking with Skydoc and Lonestarmedic they instructed me on how to change the steering head washer without taking the fairing off and it worked like a charm.I just took it for a ride and it is nice and stiff with no wobble. It only took about an 1 1/2 hours to take it apart adjust the bearings and put the furber fix washer in and put it back together. Thanks again guys Venture Riders are the best. TOM
skydoc_17 Posted January 3, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 3, 2009 (edited) Hey Tom, Thank you very much for the kind words! I am so glad that the Furbur Fix washer worked for you. And a special thanks to Lonestarmedic for allowing me to copy his washer and place it here on this site at a reasonable price so that everyone can benefit from it. This is what I LOVE about this site, we help each other exercising our different individual skills and talents for the benefit of the whole group. Tom, congrats on a job well done, I hope you get many miles out of the "Old Girl". Respectfully, Earl Edited January 3, 2009 by skydoc_17 Dam spell checker!
