SilvrT Posted July 18, 2007 #26 Posted July 18, 2007 Who said anything about making sense??? LOL... I forget that I am the type of person who has an overly "logical approach" mind and everything to me has to "make sense" (according to me) in order for me to comprehend it. LOL I'll be looking on mine for those fuses...
mbrood Posted July 18, 2007 #27 Posted July 18, 2007 Rick wrote about my picture... "Is that where all the little marks on the handlebars came from?" Yep... at least you could tell where he had been... those bolts were rounded, the housing scraped or the "spliced wires" for the rear marker lights were twisted and shoved between a frame member to ''hold them". He just didn't believe in solder, heat shrink, using the right tool or changing ANY fluids... if the level was up, it HAD to be fine. But there WAS a dandy selection of fuses in the tool bag and American sockets and allen wrenches! Anybody wanna try and work on these bikes with American standard tools? The oil was black... but at least it matched the brake and clutch fluids! For a second I thought he might have found a "custom" brake fluid... then I took the lid off the master cyclinder and saw that crusty "grunge" around the bowl. But by golly he kept the level up. He said he was having mild clutch problems...? Mine IS a Royale so I'm going to dig down there and find that darned fuse holder... rather do it now than down the road somewhere.
Guest venture777 Posted July 19, 2007 #28 Posted July 19, 2007 THE one with blade fuses is for the radio /cb hazzards and a back up fuse for the audio system. The glass one is connected to the main fuse.

rhncue Posted July 19, 2007 #30 Posted July 19, 2007 I did research the Workshop-Manual, which i got downloaded from here, and the newer, Blade Type Fuses were stated in the Manaul ... So, they are stock ... What year is the manual? I have an 83 and the fuses for the radio are normal glass fuses stuck that are found stuck behind the drivers side speaker. I also have a spare wiring harness that does not have this type of fuse box or connector on it anywhere. Could this type of extra fuse box for the radio been added at a later year than 83? Dick
Gearhead Posted July 19, 2007 #31 Posted July 19, 2007 "He just didn't believe in solder, heat shrink, using the right tool or changing ANY fluids... if the level was up, it HAD to be fine." We must've bought our bikes from the same dude... Jeremy
