i left Christmas am. and got to Deland Fla. the next nite , heavy fog all the way no break the hole way , loaded Silver up on the trailer Sat. am. and learned something !

1- Squid's lite brackets make lowesy kick stands

2- exwife can not pick up 900 lbs. of bike off of me

3- and the most important one !!!

when loading heavy bike on trailer using a ramp -- make sure the bottom of the ramp is not in lose sugar sand !!!!!!!!

Marsha has a sore back , i have some purtty marks on my leg and a sore back and Silver needs a new rad. cover , lucky i have a extra one, and a highway peg and a trunk , have a extra trunk too .

when Silver fell on to the side rail of the trailer , Sqiud's lite bracket hit the rail to save the fairing { thanks Squid , great brackets !!! } my leg saved the side , if i could of talked Marsha into jumping beween the trunk and the trailer , Silver would be fine shape ! but Marsha did purtty good for a 130 lbs old lady and picked the bike up enough for me to get my leg back .

so when i unload Silver tomarrow , i am going to back the trailer in a good ol Tx DITCH !!

i need more beer , great pain killer

Thom,

Sorry to hear of the mishap and I'm glad to hear that the brackets doubled in the safety department. Do me a favor, if the bracket is bent let me know, I'll send you another set or the bad one and I'll repair the other.

Brad , thanks , but your safety bracket did not get hurt at all , the metal eye that holds it on bent but i have all ready fixed it , if you ever make anymore please make them longer so we who like to drop our bike do not have to repair the fairings :whistling:

Have anybody seen those bars that stick out the side of the fairings on sport bike ? when the bike falls it keeps the fairing from hitting , :detective:

Thom,

Man am I glad to hear that you are OK! Right before Christmas, I picked up my "Black Beauty" and it took a spill on the way home. I lost the left side fairing, the left side, side cover, and I ran over the false tank cover before I could get stopped. At lease It didn't fall on me and if MY ex-wife would have been there to see my mishap, I think I would have had to chew my own leg off to get out!:rotfl::rotfl:

Sounds like it could have been a lot worse!

Glad you're OK!
