I was looking at a RSTD that has a pair of adjustable wind deflectors that bolt to the upper horizontal portion of the front crash bars. They blend nice with the cowl that covers the air filters. Might anyone know what company makes these?:confused07: Hard to describe these, they are about the same height as the cowl and are vertical. The adjustment allows air towards or away from the drivers legs.:happy65:

I was looking at the pics that were posted on the factory site but they are not the ones.:confused07: I think they are aftermarket, the deflectors are supported at the top & bottom. The mount is about 3" long and fits around the top of the crash bar, also the mount is chrome. The next time I'm at the dealer I will snap a pic and post it if I can figure out how to do that. By the way, these are on a used bike at Rosenau Powersports in Dearborn Heights, MI

Hey Ron,

Those are the ones sold by Yamaha thru their accessories section.

Check these vendors, note that Roush offers to beat any advertised internet price, I have challenged them on several items and they are always good to their word.

Final Final on this Thread,

It is the Yamaha accessorie I have been looking at. If Yamaha had a backside view of this deflector I would known right away:think:

Thanks for all the input:happy65:

Steve, The ones on your bike are clear with 2 mounting points, the yamaha ones are tinted and mount only on the bottom, Do you have a part number and mfg. for the clear ones you have, Thanks, Dan

I am in the process of making replacement deflectors guys. Mine are cracked on the top and its just a matter of time before they split. I can make them in various colors. If yours need replacing or you just want to change the color PM me and let me know what you want. I am going to charge $35 a pair plus shipping. If that works for you let me know.

Dan

The ones on my bike are straight out of the Yamaha accessory catalog, I ordered them from Roush and see the link I posted in a previous reply. I am not sure why there is a difference in the catalog picture and the actual part that is delivered. Worst case if do not like what you get you could send them back or sell them to another member.

Good luck.

I finally got to ride yesterday with the deflectors on with cool weather. My feet felt the engine heat more with the vent closed than before I installed them. Felt good! Now I need some hot weather to see if they do a good job cooling. :080402gudl_prv:
