Venturous Randy Posted December 30, 2008 #2 Posted December 30, 2008 It is amazing how popular the fancy cassette is!!! Didn't 1st gens have the cassette 25 years ago? RandyA
Brake Pad Posted December 31, 2008 #3 Posted December 31, 2008 For what you pay for this bike, you would think they'd step up to the plate, and change that S*@T out Ya, I know:080402gudl_prv:
Freebird Posted December 31, 2008 #4 Posted December 31, 2008 LOL....that WAS funny. Apparently he does NOT appreciate the finer points of vintage audio technology.
Squidley Posted December 31, 2008 #5 Posted December 31, 2008 LOL....that WAS funny. Apparently he does NOT appreciate the finer points of vintage audio technology. Either that or you have a LOT of cassettes left over from the 70's and 80's
pegscraper Posted December 31, 2008 #6 Posted December 31, 2008 Hey, some vintage audio is good. I still use audio equipment that has vacuum tubes in it.
bryan52577 Posted December 31, 2008 #7 Posted December 31, 2008 Either that or you have a LOT of cassettes left over from the 70's and 80's CRAP, we left the 70's? Man know wonder people look at me weird with my BIG bell bottoms! And ask what that smell is....Oops Guess it may be time for a wardrobe update?

MiCarl Posted December 31, 2008 #11 Posted December 31, 2008 You'd think they'd replace that thing with an AUX jack. Not only is it more modern it'd be cheaper to produce.
SilvrT Posted December 31, 2008 #12 Posted December 31, 2008 I found it surprising that a kid of that age actually knew about an 8-track! How many years ago has it been since those became obsolete? .... 35? Cassette's have pretty much been obsolete for what?... 5 years? ...more? Well, ok, so some still use them and I'll admit, I still have a bunch but I haven't used a cassette for at least 5 years. Frankly, my '87 and my '06 scoots and my '96 Dakota are the only things I have that has a cassette player in them. Ain't got such an animal in my house.
Tombo Posted December 31, 2008 #13 Posted December 31, 2008 It must be a Japanese thing....my 2005 Toyota Avalon came with a cassette deck but when I traded it in for an '08 this year I found that they deleted the cassette deck and replaced it with storage, just like some have done on the RSV.

Aren't Toyotas made by Yamaha now? :rotf:
