Colonel Posted December 29, 2008 #1 Posted December 29, 2008 I got my passing lamps from Santa and was getting ready to install them today but I decided I didn't like the switch that came with them so I stopped the install and started shopping. I was wondering what size handle bars are on the Venture? Also I was wondering if anyone has one of these(http://www.chromeworld.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=3099&categoryID=1692) installed and how it worked for them. I am kinda torn between that one and this one (http://www.chromeworld.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=935&categoryID=1692). Any suggestions would be appriciated.
Uturn Posted December 29, 2008 #2 Posted December 29, 2008 The bars on my 06 RSV are 1 inch...my "99 also had 1 inch. Don't know if this helps MIKE aka Uturn
Colonel Posted December 29, 2008 Author #3 Posted December 29, 2008 Thanks, Uturn. Knowing they are 1" bars help.

I have the second one with 3 switches and mounts on the master cylender i love it i have my passin lights and led's on it
Carbon_One Posted December 29, 2008 #5 Posted December 29, 2008 I also use the Kuryakyn type of switch box mounted the the clutch resvoir. The 1st link you provided is a nice looking switch assembly thou and I might have gotten one of them if they had been available when I added my switch box. Either way you go it'll look great on the bike. Oh yea the bars are all 1" for the Ventures and RSTD's. Larry
FJR Rider Posted December 29, 2008 #6 Posted December 29, 2008 Here's a couple pix of the Kuryakyn switch housing on our 06 RSV. Curt
Mariner Fan Posted December 29, 2008 #7 Posted December 29, 2008 Mark, I mounted a waterproof switch in the fairing just below the cigarette lighter power supply. http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/togglewithboot_9001.jpg Ten bucks, and the switch is top notch in quality. These guys have really nice stuff. http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Elec__Products/Switches/switches.html http://cdn.buzznet.com/assets/users16/marinerfan/default/large-msg-123052888623.jpg
Colonel Posted December 30, 2008 Author #8 Posted December 30, 2008 Well I decided to go with the resivor mounted switch box. I got a pretty good deal on it thru cruiser costumizing. I figured it would be more out of the way and keep the handle bar space for future use. Thanks for the inputs.
