Winter blues already, help!

I am thinking of driving my car down to the southwestern us around Feb 1st. I would then rent a motorcycle and tour where ever I can ride. Can anyone give me some suggestions. I need to stay out of the mountain passes I would imagine. Phoenix to LA and back ? I just need to get away from snow!!!!!!

It is extremely nice in these parts of Texas,Alot of riding around Kerrville,Tx and Fredericks burg,Tx..The 3 sisters ride is about as good as it gets and in Feb could be cold but more than likely around 65-70s highs..Let me know and I will keep track of the weather but 9 out of 10 times it is great riding around then. Not saying it's not a great plan, but why don't you tow your own bike down instead of renting? I'm just curious.

I don't have a trailer. I have a Dodge Magnum RT with a Hemi that I would like to take for a ride too. I was thinking southern Texas might be nice. It could be a last minute thing depending on the weather. I need to fill in some of those white states on my map.

Route 66 tour is a fun thing. Buy the good route book that takes you the direction you want to go.

 

When we came back from CA a few years ago we bought the wrong one, it went from IL to CA and we have to read all the mile markers etc BACKWARDS. Made it fun with two of us in a car, but would have been impossible on a bike.
