BEER30 Posted December 27, 2008 #2 Posted December 27, 2008 Most likely not the most , but my '06 (2 1/2 years owned) has over 45K on her . BEER30
M61A1MECH Posted December 28, 2008 #3 Posted December 28, 2008 Mr. T from Orlando has over 260,000 on his 99. Saw him at Daytona Bikeweek this pass October.
vtwinr Posted December 28, 2008 #4 Posted December 28, 2008 260,000 miles on a 99??? That's 32.8 times around the Earth at the equator! So much as to doubts about the bike's integrity.
M61A1MECH Posted December 28, 2008 #5 Posted December 28, 2008 260,000 miles on a 99??? That's 32.8 times around the Earth at the equator! So much as to doubts about the bike's integrity. Not sure where you got your info, but my info says the circumference of the earth is 24,902 miles that works out to a little over 10 trips around at the equator, still a lot of traveling.
vtwinr Posted December 28, 2008 #6 Posted December 28, 2008 Your right! 32.8 trips all the way to and from the center of the Earth.
Brake Pad Posted December 28, 2008 #7 Posted December 28, 2008 07 venture 29,357 my Goldwing aspencade bought it in 1984 sold it in 1992 237,364
FROG MAN Posted December 28, 2008 #9 Posted December 28, 2008 260,000 ?? Holy cow thats 50 rear tire changes the way I ride.
Yammer Dan Posted December 28, 2008 #10 Posted December 28, 2008 Not with those 6 ply Kendras I hope!! How many on that thing and how is it holding up?
FROG MAN Posted December 28, 2008 #11 Posted December 28, 2008 Still running Kenda's on all three. Still like new. I might have 6-8 thousand on the 89. Don't get out much and hard to ride three at a time. Those kenda's are great tire for the money. About the same price as a D404.
Rick Butler Posted December 28, 2008 #12 Posted December 28, 2008 Ok, I've only got 106,585 on my 2002 Midnight. And I figure I'll get another 100K out her before she get's retired. As much as we have gone through together, I'm just not getting ride of her. But I only had a total of 260K on my previous 6 Ventures. Rick
Rich99 Posted December 28, 2008 #13 Posted December 28, 2008 260,000 ?? Holy cow thats 50 rear tire changes the way I ride. That would be around 10 tire changes the way I ride!
N3FOL Posted December 28, 2008 #14 Posted December 28, 2008 260K miles is awesome! I really want to see my Venture hit 100K miles someday. Right now, I only have apx. 2000 miles.
Hummingbird Posted December 28, 2008 #15 Posted December 28, 2008 Tell me more about the Kendra tires. I'm a newbie as far as our Venture goes, had a lot of GoldWings but wife really likes the ride of our 2007 Venture. Back to the tire - info lease ?
FROG MAN Posted December 28, 2008 #16 Posted December 28, 2008 Here is a link to my report on them. They make them for the first or second gen. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=8740&highlight=kenda+kruz
JerryK Posted December 28, 2008 #17 Posted December 28, 2008 I had 86,000,when totaled, on my 2000 Venture that I bought 3 yrs earlier with 13,000 on it. After healing from crash I have 53,000 on Midnight Venture I bought in March of 2006 with 7200 miles on it. But I lost most of last summer when shoulder came apart from original crash.....shoulder broke 7-15-2007.....and I was off work 3 months and didn't get back in riding shape till 11-2007......killed my Ohio season mostly. I'll turn 61 tomorrow 12-29-08 and plan on retiring next December then put much more than the 25-30k per year I ride now. I know 2000 Venture would have went 200K and my Midnight is as good or better to hope for the same. JerryK

PBJ Posted December 29, 2008 #22 Posted December 29, 2008 Wow alot of miles mighty impressive. And on the Kendra tires. i've been runnin them on my side car and the Kruz has proven itself to be one tough tire. So far the sidecar hasn't been able to eat its way through it. I may go to them whem the Dunlop on the rear of the 85 is toast.
Herb In Texas Posted December 30, 2008 #23 Posted December 30, 2008 Bought my Venture on July 7 o8 and rolled 19,998 this morning on the way to work.
N3FOL Posted December 30, 2008 #24 Posted December 30, 2008 Did you buy your bike used or brand new? Of the 19,998 miles, how many of those miles are actually yours? If they are all your miles, I rest my case for I will never break your record.
Squidley Posted December 30, 2008 #25 Posted December 30, 2008 Bought my Venture on July 7 o8 and rolled 19,998 this morning on the way to work. I wish I could say that, bought mine 2 days before you and I only got 9300 miles on her before I had to put her up
