flb_78 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 I was doing a little surfing and decided to check out the some netbooks. Dang, they're right up there with full size laptops now. The Asus Eee 904HA has 1gb of memory, 160gb HD, a 95% size keyboard, 8.9" screen, up to 7.5 hours of battery lifehttp://www.twtex.com/forums/images/smilies/eek2.gif , for the low, low price of 349 bux shipped from NewEgg. A 2gb stick of memory is only 25 bux, so I would upgrade that immediately. Any reason why this would not be a good deal? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220442 http://gadgetmix.com/index/?tag=asus-eee-904ha-review
ronhenry4 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Not a bad price couple things i didnt like about it the size of the screen but thats me im in denial about my age and eye sight.. and the office program i've used that "sun office" and didnt like it at all but that could probably be changed if you didnt like it. other than that looks like a good buy.
wkboard Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I am very interested in the netbooks, also. I don't know which would be best, but it looks like they would fit in the bags better than my 15" widescreen. I am interested to hear from anyone that has one. What do you think????
friesman Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 One of the guys at work just bought this one and likes it a lot. he was looking at the Asus but couldnt justify the price difference for his use. about 150 difference. Tigerdirect has a few different kinds of netbooks but he went with the Acer, he does some consulting and used quite alot of Acer stuff and he seems to think its ok for consumer use. These netbooks are a perfect size for travelling on the scoot about 1/2 the size but most of the power that a full size laptop has. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4185139&Sku=A180-8008 Brian
