Condor Posted December 27, 2008 #26 Posted December 27, 2008 Well.....?? No chrome, no GPS, nothing bike related... The girls bought me a box of truffles, and everyone in the family chipped in and bought me a new robe. I thought my old robe was just fine, even if the thing was getting a personality all it own, but the family'd been staying up wind of me lately, and I shoulda sensed something was pulling RANK!!....
MikeC Posted December 27, 2008 #27 Posted December 27, 2008 I bought Squid's light brackets and got Tammy to wrap 'em up real purty for me. You shoulda' seen the look of surprise on my face! lol Mom got me a leather vest that was a complete surprise - she hates motorcycles. All in all, a great Christmas! Hope everyone has a great New Year, too...
Riderduke Posted December 28, 2008 #28 Posted December 28, 2008 I told you guys, the Mechanic was going to get a lump of coal in her stocking for being 'Naughty' and that is exactly what she got. By the way, she had tears in her eyes when she saw the coal, so who says women don't like coal in their stockings. She even gave me a Like we are supposed to believe this. Hey Machanic fess up what did he get you besides all that heated clothing
Guest Shep Posted December 28, 2008 #29 Posted December 28, 2008 Like we are supposed to believe this. Hey Machanic fess up what did he get you besides all that heated clothing I am guessing that piece of coal was hard[pressed under heat and pressure to make a beautiful diamond ring. Am I close? That kind of coal would make my wife smile also!

SaltyDawg Posted December 28, 2008 #34 Posted December 28, 2008 Well Brandy went and really surprised me this year. I had no idea, but she got me a GoPro Motorsports Hero Wide angle camera for the bike. Man is it cool, it has helmet mounts as well as a suction cup mount rated at 150Mph. No Muffinman I'm not going to let you test the mount. Uses 2 AAA batteries and a 2G SD card. It will record 56 minutes of video on one 2G SD card. Not bad video either. Oh yeah it's shock proof and sits in a waterproof case. We had a really great Christmas.
FozzyUSN Posted December 28, 2008 #35 Posted December 28, 2008 My favorite gift was having both of my boys (John-21 & Albert-11) and my brother in a new home. Did all of the cooking and cleaning up, but it was worth every minute of it.
polecat54 Posted December 29, 2008 #36 Posted December 29, 2008 New harbor Freight motorcycle lift stand no more sore back and leg mussels I hope:smash2:

It still works but hard to see screen... My old one was 4 Gigs the new one is 16 gigs and fits all of my 4000 songs. http://www.techshout.com/images/sandisk-sansa-view.jpg
Iowawegian Posted December 29, 2008 #38 Posted December 29, 2008 The funny thing is.................I was so excited to give Gary a GPS for the bike for xmas. We've never had one even for the car so imagine my suprise when I opened up his gift to me. The same exact one!!! We decided to keep them both. One for the bike, and one for my car. It will sure help when I am backseat driving on the bike....hehe......!! The best present though was having our son's all home Tues night before all the holiday commotion starts. Sitting by the fireplace, champagne to celebrate, Christmas music playing in the background, candlelights, and a fresh powdery snow outside, the boy's opening their gifts and Gary and I enjoying the moment. They grow up to fast, don't they? What a wonderful evening!
Squidley Posted December 30, 2008 #39 Posted December 30, 2008 As tacky as it sounds, just being able to be with my family. We had a great Christmas dinner at my Dads house. We all know how Lonna and my year started, so the simplest things seem to mean the most. I did get a nice card for Lonna as we agreed not to buy anything for eachother.

krome rose Posted December 30, 2008 #41 Posted December 30, 2008 Yeah, the original material girl needs to get in here and say a few words.... Wayne did real good. He surprised me with a chrome Irate brand flame radiator grill that I had my eye on in the Volusia site, and LED taillight panel and smoke lens. Another turquoise and gold set of pinstriping decals from my guy at Twisted Chrome, and a LED plate frame like Sleeperhawk has. Best of all, he gladly gave me his time to install it. Brandy
Kregerdoodle Posted December 30, 2008 #42 Posted December 30, 2008 I got to have my Son and Daughter inlaw and my 2 Grandsons for Christmas.. doesn`t get any better than that..
Squidley Posted December 30, 2008 #43 Posted December 30, 2008 Fess up Squid....I bet she loved the card, didn't she? Yes, she did like the card, I usually do get her one for Christmas
SteveW Posted December 30, 2008 #44 Posted December 30, 2008 The best gift was to have our Daughter and husband come up and visit and bring our grandaughter. She turned 1 on the 26th.
Crash Posted December 31, 2008 #45 Posted December 31, 2008 Marcie and I didn't exchange gifts either, just had all the kids over. Our daughter is pregnant and she announced on the weekend that she is having TWINS! Pretty cool. Now we are worried how we will be able to fit three car seats in our car.
Sleeperhawks Mechanic Posted January 2, 2009 #46 Posted January 2, 2009 Like we are supposed to believe this. Hey Machanic fess up what did he get you besides all that heated clothing And here I was thinking that Sleeperhawk was teasing about the lump of coal! I thought it would be a nice counter to the shiny chrome he got for Christmas! He did give me a lump of coal, well actually two lumps of coal, in my stocking this year! As a matter of fact, for the record, this is my first year to even have a real stocking, thanks to Sleeperhawk! I must have been a lot more nice than naughty in 2008!!!!

Freebird Posted January 2, 2009 #50 Posted January 2, 2009 HEY...I GOT A ROOM. Not only that...but this one has a hot tub, the champagne is on ice....life is GOOD. Eileen is taking a little nap right now but when she wakes up, the champagne will be cold....I drove to the store and picked up some boiled shrimp and cocktail sauce......even got some ice cream to prove that we ARE VentureRiders.
