Animal Posted December 26, 2008 #1 Posted December 26, 2008 It was 54 degrees and clear. We got out for about 3 hours and just wandered about for awhile. Honey
dray Posted December 26, 2008 #2 Posted December 26, 2008 it made it to the low 30's here today and i had to work too! so nope no ride here
BoomerCPO Posted December 26, 2008 #3 Posted December 26, 2008 Me! The temp was a coolish 40F....roads were clear and dry. The ride lasted over 3 hours. Not much traffic to speak of. Tomorrow looks to be the same except temp down to 35F. The bike is gassed up and ready to go..........
PBJ Posted December 26, 2008 #4 Posted December 26, 2008 Dropped from 45 degrees last night down in to the 20 this morning. Bikes are away for the winter and there until the salts all washed away:cold:
Tom Posted December 26, 2008 #5 Posted December 26, 2008 Got a little ride in today, was 65 and sunny this afternoon..Also got to meet a fellow VentureRider that was staying over in Fredericksburg today,so it was a good day. Tom
geresti Posted December 26, 2008 #6 Posted December 26, 2008 Great weather day here in Atlanta(actually Woodstock,GA) temps in mid to upper 60's but I'm still recovering from a broken back that I got while riding my 4-wheeler over labor day. Should have stayed on 2 wheels. I did some fine tooth cleaning today with the garage door open wishing I was riding! miller47 Posted December 26, 2008 #7 Posted December 26, 2008 I went out for a ride and was surprised that I seen three ventures in the area at different times along my trip:thumbsup:
abnormalwon Posted December 26, 2008 #8 Posted December 26, 2008 Unfortunately work over ruled play time today however my son got out for a few hours on his zx-9 and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon. I did get out some yesterday but as luck would have it found a few showers to bring things back to reality. More riding will be done over the next few week though, rest assured.
awsmsrv Posted December 26, 2008 #9 Posted December 26, 2008 Not a chance. Still got this stuff called snow all over the place. Couldn't even ride with my new Warm & Safe heated gloves that my wife bought me for Christmas. Quite unusual around here to get so much of it. At least, I was able to install the harness & plug in the gloves to see if they'd heat up. They do. Now just have to wait until the weather gets back to normal. What global warming?!?! Sheesh.
Skid Posted December 26, 2008 #10 Posted December 26, 2008 I made it out for a short ride on Christmas day. A little cool, but felt good to be on the road.
slick97spirit Posted December 26, 2008 #11 Posted December 26, 2008 Took about a 40 minute ride. The temp was around 36. Pretty chilly but fun.
Roadhand Posted December 26, 2008 #12 Posted December 26, 2008 One of the reasons I live in south Texas is riding on Christmas day. Took a little ride in the afternoon. 70 and sunny! Happy Holidays to all of you Jim
SilvrT Posted December 26, 2008 #13 Posted December 26, 2008 I opened the garage door, got on the scoot, fired her up....and pretended .... it was AWESOME!
rod Posted December 26, 2008 #14 Posted December 26, 2008 We are getting some much needed rain here. Last sunday was our last ride. I hope it clears up for my last day and first day of the year ride. Rod
ronhenry4 Posted December 26, 2008 #15 Posted December 26, 2008 It was 37 here in cincy so i did bundle up and rode for about an hour ... i think i did it more to see the looks on peoples faces???....
OB-1 Posted December 27, 2008 #17 Posted December 27, 2008 Hmmm... 14F. and snowing:snow:... not a good day for a bike ride so I plowed a little snow with the ATV.
Aimhigh Posted December 27, 2008 #18 Posted December 27, 2008 The Navigator and I went on a 187 mile circuit of south Texas...about 80 degrees! Whoo-Hoo!!!!
cuffemdude Posted December 27, 2008 #19 Posted December 27, 2008 34 degrees with a foot of snow on the ground. It is melting though... maybe, just maybe, in a couple of weeks I'll be able to get out. Temperature is not so much a factor as snow, ice, rain... all that stuff the clouds hurl at us.
yankeereb Posted December 27, 2008 #20 Posted December 27, 2008 It was 66 hear in MO yesterday. I took the bike out for an hour. Great ride. Now I have to wash all the road salt off the bike from the snow we got earlier.
