God Bless, BMAN I did the same thing 3 months ago, you will really enjoy the handling of a 09 compared to the Venture. Be careful of the torgue and it will take a bit of time to get used to the electronic throttle when you hit a bump in the road. As far as not comming back here, you will....I do. The people here are some of the best you will find anywhere. Happy Holiday. JIm

Managed to get in about 3,000 kms of riding on her in Florida before she got put away for the winter. If you're like me, you'll find things that you prefer on the RSV and things that you prefer on the Ultra. As for this site, well ... I'm still around and it's been a coupe of months now ... Cheers,

Yama Mama Posted December 27, 2008 #12 Posted December 27, 2008 Hey this isn't some cruel early April Fool's joke is it? If it isn't congratulations on your new ride and you do not have to stay away because you ride a different bike. We are not that way you know. Yama Mama:big-grin-emoticon:
ken Posted December 28, 2008 #13 Posted December 28, 2008 I had an 08 Ultra. Racked up just over 10,000 mile this year. I just sold it to save up some:mo money: and go back to a new or used RSV.

Guest TIM01 Posted December 29, 2008 #17 Posted December 29, 2008 I to traded for a ultra in 07 I still keep an eye on this site. ride safe and wave at every rider.
RSTDRIDER Posted December 29, 2008 #18 Posted December 29, 2008 Nice Bike! Congrats!! Just wondern tho...you didn't get it just so you could wear a Harley shrit did you?
rsstar Posted December 29, 2008 #19 Posted December 29, 2008 Congrats on the new bike. The new Ultras are supposed to be much improved from the 08s. I looked at the Harleys and came real close to buying. Had all the paperwork filled out, then I went for my second test ride, on the bike I was going to buy. It was nice but I just didn't feel completely comfortable....hard to explain. Went with an 08 Wing airbag model, which only lasted for 2400 miles before we got hit. So now I ride an 04 redline red SSR, but I still visit this site and hope to make some meets this year. Like everyone has already said, you NEED to stay around. Good luck with the new ride!!!!
PBJ Posted December 30, 2008 #20 Posted December 30, 2008 Hey Bman, it looks like a great ride and they say that new frame makes it a better handling bike and rock solid. My old company makes the fuel injection system on that thing right here in new York. Enjoy the ride and as EVERYONE has said here. Once a member always a member. RIDE SAFE BROTHER!
