I did talk with them before our last run and if I remember correctly, the bears have to be new and we would not be able to pass them out. Just throwing that in so no one will be disappointed. As Dragonrider said, they have to be very careful because the childrens immune systems can be very low. Just keep us posted and I'll do whatever I can.

gunboat Posted December 28, 2008 Author Posted December 28, 2008 hi all i have done a little web serching on hypoallergenic bears, that i would like to share with everyone. if you go to www.teddybearcollection.com look over the left side bar. the STUFFED link says how take care of a t-bear. the other link TOYS gives some great info for someone who wants to buy a toy/bear for a child with alleregy's & asthma. now the MANHATTEN TOYS has two bears ( barton bears & oatmeal bears )that are sold SPECIFICALLY to benefit alleregy and asthma network. also www.target.com sales a few t-bears/animals. look over at the left side bar for asthma friendy stuffed animals. if you look at the benny the bear memory foam plush bear. there is some additional info as to this being an anti-microbial to, which protects the product against bacteria, mites, and mold. now here is another link www.bohemia-style.ca that states the ALPACA teddy bears,( is the only natural fur that is 100 % hypoallergenic, the stuffing is also hypoallergenic. they only have two bears 1-is danny natural gray#295 & max- natural white #294. a little pricey. bill and lewis is this the kind of hypo-allergenic t-bears we are looking for? or is there another source that st. judes accepts. just a little info i found to pass along to help. enyone have any other info? best reguards don c.
