Oldseadog Posted December 22, 2008 #1 Posted December 22, 2008 (edited) We received more snow than normal and I guess you could say this disaster is because of my own stupidity. I saw the snow piling up but did nothing, thinking it was too cold and I would rip the fabric. Well this is the result. I can't get to the bike yet, but some of the pipes are down on it. I'm hoping the damage is not too bad. I guess I will have to wait until the snow melts to lift the shelter off the bike. Edited December 23, 2008 by Oldseadog
Animal Posted December 23, 2008 #2 Posted December 23, 2008 eeouch... where is that global warming when you need it?
Sailor Posted December 23, 2008 #3 Posted December 23, 2008 Friend of mine here on Saltspring had the same thing happen with one of those shelters. That wet snow is realy heavy. Good luck.

A friend of mine bought his from Costco to store his boat in out at Falcon Lake. It collapsed in the snow too wrecking his windshield and just making a huge mess of ripped fabric and bent metal. GeorgeS Posted December 23, 2008 #5 Posted December 23, 2008 Your supposed to leave the Car Out, and put the Bike in the Garage !!!! I thought everybody knew that
Oldseadog Posted December 23, 2008 Author #6 Posted December 23, 2008 Don't have a garage, only this shelter. I think I will be building a stronger shelter when everything thaws out.
N3FOL Posted December 23, 2008 #7 Posted December 23, 2008 I recognize the 1st pic - a house. The next three pics, I have no idea...too much snow. I can't wait for Spring to come.
