Snarley Bill Posted December 22, 2008 #1 Posted December 22, 2008 well my tire balancer build and sell idea went down the river. i can beat the ebay and internet prices but i can't compete with the chinese and harborfreight prices. mine would be better but there's would work fine and be cheaper. so i'm out of business before i got started.
pegscraper Posted December 22, 2008 #2 Posted December 22, 2008 (edited) A few of my ideas have been pretty much the same way. Today, it seems that there's no point in inventing and developing anything, except possibly just to play with your mental blocks. I'd still like to figure out how to mount my old Hunter car tire balancing equipment on my bike wheels. Edited December 22, 2008 by pegscraper
Keitho Posted December 23, 2008 #3 Posted December 23, 2008 This is how I am going to balance my next set of tires, a friend swears by um. It is also a good way to get rid of those unsightly weights. Ivan Posted December 23, 2008 #4 Posted December 23, 2008 the problem with dynaballs, or any other gizmo that moves around in your tires, is that you are asking the extra mass to situate its self closer to the center of rotation, since an imbalance will assuredly be farther away, and the extra mass has to counter act that on the opposite side of the wheel. I have seen several like ideas on harmonic balancers, and model aircraft engines. None of them worked. Personaly, I wouldn't spend my money on something like this.
