FROG MAN Posted December 22, 2008 #1 Posted December 22, 2008 I seen some interesting Ice fishing equipment. Talk about an alternative to a high speed bass boat.:whistling:
DragonRider Posted December 22, 2008 #2 Posted December 22, 2008 That could be a prickly situation if you fall and the tires land on you............OUCH:cold:
whozleft Posted December 22, 2008 #4 Posted December 22, 2008 Here in Central Ohio on Buckeye Lake and in the winter when the lake was solidly frozen over, they used to have winter bike racing and all the bikes had those spiked tires. I never got to see a race but had many people tell me about them.
Squeeze Posted December 23, 2008 #5 Posted December 23, 2008 Not a Busa, but a Vmax and here's some Action ... [ame=http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=pZq18irDRcc]YouTube - Vmax on ice[/ame]
Snaggletooth Posted December 23, 2008 #6 Posted December 23, 2008 Man that brings back memories! Back in the '70 we raced on Carter lake here in Nebraska. All we ran was dirt bikes with the tires spiked but that was more than enough of a rush to keep the blood from freezing up! It wasn't until years later that we went "What the hell were we thinking!" I'd do it again.
MikeM8560 Posted December 24, 2008 #7 Posted December 24, 2008 Here my friend on his honda. no snow on the ice so he made due. I also did crazy stuff skimming water on my sled and 110 mph on the ice was nothing.
Squidley Posted December 24, 2008 #8 Posted December 24, 2008 Not a Busa, but a Vmax and here's some Action ... YouTube - Vmax on ice I thought that looked like a Michigan plate on that bike, Cass lake is about 50 miles from us here. Even heard Running Free from Iron Maiden, listened to them all the time when I was young
Squeeze Posted December 24, 2008 #9 Posted December 24, 2008 When you were young ?? Ok, growing old is mandatory ... But why stop to hear good Music ?? This is the Music of my Youth and i'm sticking to it. Well Sort of .... This was the Age were Musicans where able to make Music even without Electricity, unplugged as it's called nowadays. They were able to "hand craft" their Art, Music, so to speak, a very rare Art in today's Pop Culture, when you ask me.
