New Orleans, Family friendly jazz/restaurant?

Folks, I'm in New Orleans downtown this evening. Looking for a family friendly local-flavor jazz restaurant that is reasonably priced. Any New Orleans folks on here who could guide us to a good local spot? We have a car so can drive somewhere here too.

If its still there, the Preservation Jazz Hall has the best jazz musicians there.........its in the French Quarter, just ask anybody in the quarter and they will tell you where it is, its either on Bourbon St. or Royal St. I havent been in the quarter in many, many years.

 

Enjoy the food and the local flavor...........but be careful in the quarter.........Make sure you go to the Morning Call for some Beignets and Cafe aulait..........its right across from Jackson Square on the river.

 

I lived there for 50 years, and I miss the food.
