utadventure Posted December 15, 2008 #2 Posted December 15, 2008 Warmth, what warmth? Our best high for the next week 30! with 16 being the lowest of the highs for this week. It makes me cold now but having water to drink and shower in next summer will make it all worth while. Dave:97:

Guest tessa c2 Posted December 16, 2008 #6 Posted December 16, 2008 It's warming up!!!! -27 c with the wind it brings it down to -37.4, the warmest it has been all day, this morning with the wind chil, woke up to -50 celcus, ended up changing fuel filter on the truck, got waxed up, dang glad it didn't happen on the hi way, it was $%^^&**( cold in the shop doing this job, as it was. and like normal they got to place them in the most awful place. there is something about wet hands and cold steel, just doesn't get me real excited. i had the bulk fuel filled up in october, which was to have been seasonal fuel, and i had put in a container of conditioner which takes down the waxing point, and thought i had lots in there, guess not.......

CrazyHorse Posted December 17, 2008 #8 Posted December 17, 2008 I dont know how you Canucks deal with that to much being inside the house for me.
loehring Posted December 17, 2008 #9 Posted December 17, 2008 My Dad always used to say, "whether it's cold or whether it's hot, we will have weather whether or not". 63 and raining here in Atlanta but looking around the country I think we have it pretty good.
Kregerdoodle Posted December 17, 2008 #10 Posted December 17, 2008 It has warmed up to 44 this morning, suposed to be in the hight 70`s Sat. and then back in the 40`s for a high Sunday... no wonder we stay sick down here..
Dragonslayer Posted December 17, 2008 #11 Posted December 17, 2008 We got a gully washer down here a couple of weeks ago that raised our water resevoir for the area Lake Lanier something like 3/4 of an inch. I guess that was good since the lake is now at it's historical low pool level of somewhere around 17 feet. Some say it could be completely dry next year.
N3FOL Posted December 17, 2008 #12 Posted December 17, 2008 Freezing Rain last night and then 40's today. It may clear up enough to get a ride to and from work tomorrow and then no more for the next 3 days. Snow is forecasted to come our way this Sunday.
friesman Posted December 17, 2008 #13 Posted December 17, 2008 I dont know how you Canucks deal with that to much being inside the house for me. Ya dont stay inside the house, you get that good hitek gear and go outside and enjoy the sunshine, if ya got it. I personally would rather have a 30 below day and sunny than a minus 10 day with rain and crap. It feels so much better when the sun is out and when its that cold the high pressure air almost always has it nice and sunny. Brian
sarges46 Posted December 17, 2008 #14 Posted December 17, 2008 Woke up to -29C but the good news is there is little wind...its the wind that really makes things miserable in my mind. Got to -45 with the wind last night...thats just nasty!
Guest Shep Posted December 17, 2008 #15 Posted December 17, 2008 61 degrees here is Phoenix right now and I see a little sun peaking through - been raining the last 2-3 days. Back to 56 tomorrow and then to 60 on Friday. Soon as the sun comes out and it dries up a bit - I am out ridin' Shep

It's been snowing off and on since late last night ... accumulation around 3 inches.
