Venture rear tire

My 2007 midnight venture came with dunlop d404 tires from factory. Front tire still looks like new but i have to put a new rear tire on. Can i replace the rear with same size in an avon venom without causing any problems. Need to finish using up the front tire and hate the oem tires. Only 8000 miles and it is slick. Any info would be great

Yes,It is OK,just use the stock size and BTW,good choice!

I am sure you know already but be sure and wear off all the slick stuff they put on the new tire..IT IS SLICK with it on there. I go over board and lightly sand it on traction areas. I know not necessary but that is me.

i was told to be careful for the first 50-100 miles specially taking or turning into turns until you scrub off that coating.

Avon has the 80H version of this tire listed for use with the RSV... 80H is the load and speed rating of 996 lbs and 120 MPH.. The 74V is in Yamaha's specs but not listed on Avon's website as a tire for a RSV.. Make sure the one you order is a 80H...
