mtman Posted December 13, 2008 #26 Posted December 13, 2008 And yet the list of stuff the Chinese invented goes on forever, including beer, gunpowder, cast iron, paper, fishing reels, flares, bombs, fireworks, matches, and a ton of medicine. I saw a show on the History channel and was amazed at all the stuff they invented. Can't say I can approve of their means and methods but we sure use a lot of their inventions.
BEER30 Posted December 13, 2008 #27 Posted December 13, 2008 Anywhere in this world , you will find poor to quality products . Some parts of this world , you will find the cost of making these goods cheaper than others . Many of any poor or quality products , you will find that a deal has been struck between government officials and these makers . Now I don't want to turn this post into a political thread either . But I can say on behalf of our company . We have designed products for the Military and Homeland defense . Our products have made their way overseas to find Commie-Chinese companies duplicating our products in inferior materials . Brought back over here and sold to our young soldiers for maybe a few bucks less than what we sale them for . What's even worse , I have been plagued with these customers calling me to make complaints of these knock-off's, as they think they have purchased our companies products . They fall apart within minutes of use . But how can you blame these customers from calling me to complain , as these jurks even use our companies name in the label ! But what's sad , our officials will do or have done nothing about it after numerous attempts to protect our companies name have been filed . I beleive in free interprise , but this the consumer needs to be educated more on what is actually sold on the market . As we don't suffer as much in sales of our products , it's the consumers whom purchase these inferior products are the ones whom lose out . Yes I buy products made outside the USA . And most of the products I purchase help out both that country and the US workers somewhat . I try to be very observant on these products as to their value . I also admit I buy from Harbor Freight too ! For weekend warrior task , I buy cheap in price . And for everyday use I buy quality and look for US , Canada, or UK made before I go to Commie-Land .
