rickyga Posted December 11, 2008 #1 Posted December 11, 2008 Does the rear shock have a manual adjustment on it
friesman Posted December 11, 2008 #2 Posted December 11, 2008 there isnt an adjustment right on the shock as far as I am aware, but to get a different ride , you can adjust the dial on the left side for stiffer or smoother ride. Look on left side kinda above the footpegs. Its rcommended to only turn it one notch at a time. Brian
rickyga Posted December 11, 2008 Author #3 Posted December 11, 2008 I saw that switch had numbers 1 2 3 4 will it have to be running to set it
GaryZ Posted December 11, 2008 #4 Posted December 11, 2008 The knob on the lower left is for setting shock damping. Shocks work by forcing oil through a small hole. This function slows the suspension from bouncing. There is a knob on your rear shock that will change the size of the hole. "1" is mushy and "4" is stiff. My standard practice is to set the damping at "1", then set your air for the softest ride without bottoming. Test ride the set up. Repeat a test ride at 2, 3, and 4. Select the one that rides best for you.
