RoadKill Posted December 11, 2008 #1 Posted December 11, 2008 The Kawasaki Voyager price is now posted on their web site. $16,899 - $17,459. Its sounding better and better. I will see it in person in Feb, in Chicago at the show. I really think the one at the shows is not the final version, but we'll see.
Cerviperus Posted December 11, 2008 #2 Posted December 11, 2008 Jay... Any idea what day you're headed up there? I think me and a few other people are going to make a trip up there as well. Right now, we're not sure yet if we're going on that Saturday or Sunday.

Lone Eagle Posted December 11, 2008 #5 Posted December 11, 2008 Wonder what the $560.00 difference gets you? The IMS show is coming to our area next week - hopefully they have one there to check out.
SilvrT Posted December 11, 2008 #6 Posted December 11, 2008 Wonder what the $560.00 difference gets you? The IMS show is coming to our area next week - hopefully they have one there to check out. I recall reading that ABS is an option so maybe that's where the difference is....
BoomerCPO Posted December 11, 2008 #7 Posted December 11, 2008 Not a bad price for what the bike looks like in pics and such. The real test will come when folks can sit/test ride the bike;look it over good for details; and of course any give-aways the Kaw Dealers can throw into the mix. Can't wait to see one. Our local Kaw Dealer says he has 2 of them due in January.....Good enuff reason to get out of the house....even if I have to shovel snow to get to the truck.
SilvrT Posted December 11, 2008 #8 Posted December 11, 2008 I've been looking forward to seeing one as well. We have a big Motorcycle show coming up in late January ... I figgure they'll be introducing them there. hmmmmmmm.... I wonder what they'll give me as a trade-in for my '06  Considering I paid 12,900 for it and the Insurance Co values it at 16,000 ... I might be able to come out ahead... nahhhhhhhh .... I'm jus speculatin!
BoomerCPO Posted December 11, 2008 #9 Posted December 11, 2008 Hey Silver there's nothing wrong with having more than one horse in the stable.....as long as the wife stays out of the stable of course.

Jethroish Posted December 12, 2008 #12 Posted December 12, 2008 My dad got a call from his local dealer yesterday. He has bought many bikes from them and even did some work for them over the last 20 years. They wanted to know which bike to order for him. He was told that Kaw is not going to produce it in the red color. Blue/black and silver/black only.
RoadKill Posted December 12, 2008 Author #13 Posted December 12, 2008 Wonder what the $560.00 difference gets you? The IMS show is coming to our area next week - hopefully they have one there to check out. ABS is standard, the extra gets you the linked Brakes.
Jethroish Posted December 12, 2008 #14 Posted December 12, 2008 Wonder what the $560.00 difference gets you? The IMS show is coming to our area next week - hopefully they have one there to check out. ABS. You can either get this with or without ABS. Everything else is the same on both models. Rumor is that for 2009 it is limited production. No more than 2 bikes per dealer and orders have to be in by Dec 17 with manufacturing starting in Jan 2009. Full production for 2010. And if you wanted Red, sorry, no red for 09.
SilvrT Posted December 12, 2008 #15 Posted December 12, 2008 (edited) ABS is standard, the extra gets you the linked Brakes. That's not what I read... I read the linked brakes are standard and ABS with linked brakes are the option... ???? EDIT: correction ... one site says the linked braking comes with ABS as an available option and another site says the linked brakes are standard and the ABS is an option... and neither are from the Kaw site...still trying to find that info on the Kaw site... EDIT again: I found it on the Kaw site... they have the "standard" model without ABS and Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology and then they have the upscaled model with ABS and Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology... (from their site) K-ACT (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology) ABS enables riders to execute controlled, balanced braking. Designed to complement riders’ applied brake force, K-ACT ABS ensures ideal brake force distribution to maximise braking efficiency. http://www.kawasaki.ca/model/vulcan-1700-voyager:1148 http://www.kawasaki.ca/model/vulcan-1700-voyager-abs/technology:1172 Edited December 12, 2008 by SilvrT
