My oldest is home for the holidays. He has 30 days leave. The wife is already happier. All is good. It has been a rough year for us. Our daughter has abandoned her two boys here 3 yrs & 18 months and is pregnant again and living with said puke. Needless to say wife and I are stressed but hanging in there. Best thing is that he brought his new V-max home to leave it here for storage. Seems the Armys regs are becoming too strict for him to be able to ride it. So here it will sit {except for a occasional romp by yours truly}. YES!:thumbsup2:

Don't need to tell you to enjoy the time together. Please tell your Son that we thank him for his service, and pray for his safety. Too bad about his having to leave the bike behind...but, good for you!

Glad your enjoying your son being home. Sorry about the rest. Yup the military is getting pretty tight about bikes. But on the bright side you get to play with a new toy.

Glad your son is home safe for Christmas. Sorry to hear about your daughter. Kids can be hard on grandparents full time but they do make christmas very wonderful. I hope you can see them and your son as a true Christmas gift. And having a V-Max around for a year well that can't be too bad.

Thanks for the well wishes. Every day things get a little better {grandsons get older}. I was never around much when my two boys were this little. I was working on the railroad then with traveling gangs. One thing about now is that I have come to a point in my life when I can be at home to help with my grandsons through the day. Whew what a handful. I now know why when I came home from work in the old days the house was a mess and my wife was a wits end! As far a daughter goes I doubt that she will ever get her life on track. The old saying applies when it comes to her "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. But any prayers sent her way would be appreciated.

WHATS REALLY IMPORTANT IS THAT YOUR GRANDCHILDREN ARE SAFE ,LOVED AND BEING TAKEN CARE OF..AND MOST OF ALL SOMEWHERE WHERE THEY ARE WANTED..YOU WILL BE BLESSED THRUOUT YOUR LIFE FOR WHAT YOU ARE DOING FOR THEM...SO ENJOY THEM WHILE YOU CAN..AS A GRANDFATHER OF NINE I KNOW HOW HARD IT CAN BE ON YOU AND THE MISSES..YOU WILL MUDDLE THRU..IM SURE..ENJOY YOUR VISIT WITH YOUR SON..
