Finally replaced front tire!

I finally replaced the original front Dunlop D404 after 18,497 miles. I was set on Metzler I have used them in the past with good results. However after reading many post on that matter here I was leery about them. The Venture is my first bike of this size and weight so I decided to go with the Dunlop Elite3. Has anyone switch from the D404 to the Elite3? It there any difference in handling better or worse? How about mileage? I am used to getting a few miles from my tires.

Glad to hear you replaced that front tire Joe! I noticed it when we were at the Vets Day Parade in NY and was sorely tempted to say something to you about it.

 

Ride Safe!.....And not putting a Metzler on was a smart decision IMHO.

I've only got about 2000 miles on my Elite 3 tires, and I think they are great.

I had a problem with my Bridgestones at 6000 miles. So I put a Dunlop 404

on the rear. At 12,000 miles I decided I wanted to replace the front with a Dunlop.

I chose to replace both front and rear with the Elite 3's I really like the way they ride!

My 1st set of tires on my bike was B---- stones at 9000 miles i took Back tire off put new B--- stone on at 16,500 i took Both B- stones off & put Avons on . Got about 600 miles on Avons, Lots Better. I here the eilt 3 are real good but do they have a Back tire for the Venture?

Yes they do I have that too. I am waiting for the first good snow storm so I can jack up the Venture and take the back wheel off.
