Chicagoland "Toys For Tots" 12/7/08

Just To Give Heads Up for This Comming Sunday12/7/08, 31st Anual "Toys For Tots Run". I'll be There riding This Year And Have some toys to donate to make some kids Happy this Christmas season. Everybody is welcome to come. and we can have Lunch together after ride. Here is information, and map of event:

Great cause but some of the roads around here with the state and so forth cutting back on salt wont be doing it.

Hey Jim Don't Worry, I Understand that, Last Year I Can't take my bike out of alley It was saled ice you know 2nd Gen and no traction....Hard to keep upright. For you guy's can't make run, There is option to help this great event. Toy's For Tots (TFT) has online store, so you can order T-Shirt or some other Goodies.:

1st Gens are no better maybe if I had spiked tires. Thanks for the info. Just wish they would do this in November little better weather. I don't mind the cold so much as any snow melting from the sun and then freezing over night on the road especially in the area I live.

A warmer option is the Great Lakes Jeep Thing Toys for Tots Parade on December 14. You don't have to be in a Jeep to participate. Usuaully there are a hundred or so 4x4's in the event.

No didnt make it pretty cold here at my home 17 degrees probably 10 degrees warmer near the lake though.

I seen some film on the news about the ride, looked for Dan but didn't see him.

They were more interested in the guys with Santa suits etc.

Great ride for a great purpose but way to cold for me and of course there was still some slick spots around.

The Jeep Toy's for Tots last weekend was relatively gorgeous. It got up to 50 degrees! The bike guys would have killed for that weather!

Yep Guys I Was There. Riding All the way. it wasnt that cold with heated clothing on. Hard to say how many bikes was, But I Felt so proud I Can Represent Venture Riders on that Great Event. Temperature was in lower 10'sF early morning. An sunny by noon in lower 20's F. From My knolage was colected 220.000 Toys from This single event. Thats some kind low comparing to previos years. Well as always we can pick a date but not a weather.
