To participate in, and support this wonderful program, and have one of these beautiful wreaths in your home, go to: http://www.worcesterwreath.com/

The wreath is called "Patriot Pair".

I had no idea this was done. I thought you might want to see it.

Arlington at Christmas

Rest easy, sleep well my brothers.

Know the line has held, your job is done.

Rest easy, sleep well.

Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held.

Peace, peace, and farewell . . .

Readers may be interested to know that these wreaths -- some 5,000 -- are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. Of Harrington, Maine. The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's done this since 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out . Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one the poorest parts of the state.

The "Wreaths Across America" convoy is escorted by Patriot Guard Riders from Maine all the way to Arlington each year. As the convoy passes through each State it is "handed off" to the Patriot Guard Riders of each State. This year the convoy includes four 18 wheelers full of Wreaths for our Hero's at Arlington. There will be an estimated 1500 folks at Arlington who stand ready to place the Wreaths at grave sites.

When you meet Merrill Worcester (and his entire family who are on the convoy as well) I can assure you that he is an amazingly humble Patriot who you will never forget.

If you're ever in the DC area you should make Arlington Cemetary a must see. I'd rather visit here than seeing most of DC. I am fortunate to only live 20 miles from the place. The wreaths are beautiful and if you ever get a chance you have to see the Changing of the Guard. It's a sight to behold.
