BoomerCPO Posted November 29, 2008 #4 Posted November 29, 2008 54 to 70 is cold? Yer kidding right? We are seeing 20-30f here in Noo England and I know of at least 100 riders who would pay good money to see those temps up here! We have a day long ride set up for Saturday and the high temp of only 43f is predicted.....Some folks just don't know when they have it good!LOL!!!

DragonRider Posted November 29, 2008 #6 Posted November 29, 2008 You Fl. riders sure are spoiled, I wish it was that warm when I leave at 5:30 in the morning, its gets down in the teens here in N. Ga., but I still ride and enjoy it, But I do understand you guys dont have the proper winter clothing like maybe gloves, chaps, leather jacket, and gloves, nothing heated for me, just my regular riding apparel, with maybe an extra shirt, long sleeve of course and a scarf for my neck, and Im ready to go and I stay pretty comfy for my ride into work. So dont want to hear abouy your COLD weather in Fla................... Just have pity on those poor northerners who get locked in at winter time and can only read about us riding down here in the warm south, but they do have an option to get out that track driven vehicle and ride it anywhere they can, and thats a ton of fun that we cant have down here, so I guess they aint got it all that bad. Im really hating winter already , nearly froze riding into work this morning at 54º it made it to high 70s but a stupid customer kept me late at the shop and i didnt get out til 6pm when it started getting cold again.
pnrsisk Posted December 6, 2008 #7 Posted December 6, 2008 I ride my 99venture to work almost every day, or night. Tonight, it was 22 f. when i left for work. It will be in the upper teens when I go home at Midnight. I wear bib overalls and a leather jacket, with a full face helmet. It's funny to see the look on peoples faces when a bike goes by when the weather is this cold. Gotta Love a Venture. If it isn't slick, I'll keep riding. Thanks for the fun, and Info opn this site. Phil S.
