greg_in_london Posted November 27, 2008 #1 Posted November 27, 2008 Just a thought that occurs. One of the American tyre companies bought Avon a year or two back. I'm given to understand that it was because of their capacity for short order specialist runs. Maybe we should work out a specification for a square profile for a first gen and ask how much it would cost for a hundred - how many takers would we have ?
friesman Posted November 27, 2008 #2 Posted November 27, 2008 I would be interested depending on price, wait times and a few things. but yeah if its doable, why not look at it? Brian
greg_in_london Posted December 7, 2008 Author #3 Posted December 7, 2008 Probably not enough interest to justify enquiring then. An order of a hundred would run to a good few thousand quid and as only Brian answered I reckon I'd be well out of pocket unless I expected to do half a million miles in the next couple of years.
