This place has an interesting concept. You pay $10, they send you "something". It's random, so you never know what you're going to get. I haven't done it myself, but I've often thought it'd be interesting to do it, just for the hell of it.

 

Then again, you know what they say about curiosity...

Years ago there was an ad running in the back of several magazines. It advertised that for only $1 they would send you a, get this......"A empty 4"x4" cardboard box."

 

It aways made me chuckle to wonder how may people bought an empty box. Years later I found out the person who ran the ad worked for a box company that had accidently made 20,000 boxes that were a bit under spec for a client. He had accquired the entire bunch pretty much for the asking. When asked what it all cost him.....his answer was "postage and envelopes, but I recovered that." He sold them all in less than a year.

Reminds me of an ad I read once.

 

"How would you like to go to your mailbox and find lots of envelopes with money in them every day? I'll tell you how! Send $1.00 and a SASE to..."

 

It cracked me up but I saved the buck instead.
