Starman09 Posted November 21, 2008 #1 Posted November 21, 2008 New here, so not sure where is the best place to post this. I have an '09 RSV and am wondering how to rotate the attena so that I can lay it down. One is okay, the other is pointed towards the truck if you try to lay it down. I looked at it andf it appears that there are 3 differnet junctions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Moakster Posted November 21, 2008 #2 Posted November 21, 2008 You should be able to rotate the antenna to the left and it will lay down next to the trunk.
V7Goose Posted November 21, 2008 #3 Posted November 21, 2008 Just be careful! If you try to rotate the top of the lower mount, you can shear the black plastic pin that holds it together. If I remember correctly, pull the rubber boot off the bottom and loosen that nut to rotate the entire antenna. Goose
Eck Posted November 21, 2008 #4 Posted November 21, 2008 Being an 07 model, you might not want to take the chance of breaking anything and might want to take it back to your dealer... its covered under warrenty, and if THEY break anything, THEY pay for it..not you..... (The Dealer may have installed them incorrectly in the first place during final assembly)..
KiteSquid Posted November 21, 2008 #5 Posted November 21, 2008 Mine were incorectly installed. The two antennas were swapped, and they folded to the rear of the bike insted next to the tank...... Once I figured out what was wrong it took me about 10 minutes to swap them. My FM radio works a LOT better now.
Pudycat03 Posted December 15, 2008 #6 Posted December 15, 2008 I just got at Venture RS but it was missing the CB antenna. The dealer price is high, any alternatives?
gunboat Posted December 15, 2008 #7 Posted December 15, 2008 hay pudycat check out the marshell mod in the teck section. i replaced both atenna's with the black firefly's. really like them. may i ask one thing is the cb still installed in the "black box" under the trunk? best reguards don c.

Goose That would be correct my friend, then just loosen the one nut on bottom and spin it around.
gunboat Posted December 15, 2008 #9 Posted December 15, 2008 i agree with Eck since you have a brand new '09 take it back to the dealer and make them fix it. best reguards don c.
