1rooster Posted November 20, 2008 Author #3 Posted November 20, 2008 Whatever colors you choose, pop the few extra $$ and get a good quality roller. Makes all the difference in the world! Let me rephrase that.I want to get my bike painted this winter.LOL:happy-emoticon:

Marcarl Posted November 20, 2008 #5 Posted November 20, 2008 I'd say make it black and white with red all over,,, and maybe yellow pokadots for the bra and tank cover.
eazyduzzit Posted November 20, 2008 #6 Posted November 20, 2008 Whatever colors you choose, pop the few extra $$ and get a good quality roller. Makes all the difference in the world! That reminds me of when I was a kid. A friends dad painted his old pickup a cool blue color. I saw it and told him it looked good. He said "Yeah pop could have done a lot better if he'd had a decent brush". I walked up a little closer to it and sure enough, he had painted it with a brush. You couldn't even tell until you were right up on it.
Redneck Posted November 20, 2008 #7 Posted November 20, 2008 hear are some before and after my redneck conversion. red white blue and chrome are the best colors.

waterbug Posted November 20, 2008 #9 Posted November 20, 2008 The best thing you can do is just start looking at magazines and looking on the net for pictures of diffrent bikes thats what I am doing til I make up my mind before I tear her apart to do. Good luck!!!
Yammer Dan Posted November 20, 2008 #10 Posted November 20, 2008 Mike, That would look great on a 1st Gen!! I have dreams of WV Blue with a large gold metalflake!! Oh, it looks OK on a 2nd Gen Mike.

Jerry M Posted November 20, 2008 #13 Posted November 20, 2008 Here is a pic. of my 05 RSTD stock colors.just a thought.Jerry M
Squidley Posted November 21, 2008 #14 Posted November 21, 2008 Obviously color is a very personal thing, had I not had the accident and totalled my '99 I was thinking of going with the copper color that the Chryslers have on them and a burnt orange. I would go to a auto paint supply house and start looking in their books to see what colors you like. KWTrains went with bright yellow and black, and I think that it's going to be a fantastic combo. It's really all in what is keen to your eye
Yammer Dan Posted November 21, 2008 #15 Posted November 21, 2008 I( thought about the Yellow and Black on the 750 and call it the "Bumblebee" It sounds like one anyway.
