MAINEAC Posted November 18, 2008 #2 Posted November 18, 2008 Yeah Freebird did and he wrote up a pretty good article on it here: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=498
got2mnytoys Posted November 18, 2008 Author #3 Posted November 18, 2008 Thanks just what I was looking for, wonder why I couldn't get that in a search?
Eck Posted November 18, 2008 #4 Posted November 18, 2008 Scott, If you need any help on how to change out the headlight, I'll be happy to help you. I walk you though it step by step come down to your place to change it out for you..or You can come to my place and I will do it here...dont matter to me.. The only two differences you would end up with is: (1) The face of the head light (forward most part of glass) is "flat" where as the stock headlight face has a "contoured" outward curvature to it.. (2) a cheaper replacement headlight lens ($19.95 v/s $180 bucks) and you use your old headlight bulb..
KiteSquid Posted November 18, 2008 #5 Posted November 18, 2008 If your factory housing is in good shape, you might donate it to someone who has had front end damage to their bike.
got2mnytoys Posted November 18, 2008 Author #6 Posted November 18, 2008 Thanks Eck, Think I'm going to get another factory housing (so I can go back to stock) and the after market headlight and spot lights I want and take a look at it , and may take you up on the offer. Wanted to know if it was possible to do, before I committed to it.
