MikeC Posted November 16, 2008 #1 Posted November 16, 2008 I've been looking for carb diaphragms for a while now and thought I'd post here to let everyone know the best price I've been able to find. Part # 1FK-14940-09-00 is $70.00 plus shipping. Many of their diaphragms are the same price. CruisersPlus.com has quite a selection of diaphragms as well as other parts. I haven't ordered anything from them yet, though. If anyone has any info on them, good or bad, I'd like to hear it. I'm about ready to order now.
goatturtle Posted November 16, 2008 #2 Posted November 16, 2008 I just put a set in my 86 and bought them on ebay from motoallparts out of FL for $70 and they work great! That was for all four!!!!
Squidley Posted November 16, 2008 #3 Posted November 16, 2008 I have used Zanotti H/D in PA. they are pretty competative on prices and have never steered me wrong. Flatout motorsports is also a very good dealer to use, I haven't heard of anyone using Cruiserplus.com
5bikes Posted November 16, 2008 #4 Posted November 16, 2008 Jack can you give us more info. Thanks Chuck
MikeC Posted November 17, 2008 Author #5 Posted November 17, 2008 Yes, Jack. Please do! I just looked on ebay and saw Motoallsports diaphragms for $60.00 each and they looked like the slides were not included. Is that what you bought?
cimmer Posted November 17, 2008 #6 Posted November 17, 2008 Another source is Old Bike Barn http://www.oldbikebarn.com/Street/1989-Yamaha-XVZ1300-Venture-Royale and they have diagrams for $65 each. I havent used them but I believe some have other here have. Rick F.
CrazyHorse Posted November 17, 2008 #7 Posted November 17, 2008 I was gonna suggest flatoutmotorcycles but I cant now. I bought mine there about a year ago for $59.00 now they want $88. I thought I found a cheap source but I guess its back to shopping around.
goatturtle Posted November 18, 2008 #8 Posted November 18, 2008 (edited) Hi, the diaphrams that I bought was from ebay, without the slides and it was all four for $70.00. They were easy to install and well worth it. My bike runs so much better it's almost like a NEW one! They were from motoallparts. Jack Edited November 18, 2008 by Jack Colbert
skydoc_17 Posted February 15, 2009 #10 Posted February 15, 2009 There has been a recent thread about a related issue issue recenty. If you weed thru the Posts, there is a source in Canada that sells the Diaphragms only, not the sliders which are usually good on these bikes. I think there is talk of a group buy on these so you may check out this link: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32052 I think you will find it very informative. Earl
