Dusk Posted July 1, 2007 #1 Posted July 1, 2007 Is this a previously know issue? Where should I begin looking? Glad I got them running lights installed. They worked wonders! I drove 43+ miles using them. They are quite bright.
payntor Posted July 1, 2007 #2 Posted July 1, 2007 my problem was caused by the starter switch not making the proper contact. when the starter button is depressed the lights go out. when it is released the lights come back on. mine were not. a flick of the starter button, they were back on. it still happens from time to time. jim
PITBULL Posted July 1, 2007 #3 Posted July 1, 2007 HAd the same issue....all I do from time to time when it happens is wiggle the start button and presto..lights
muffinman Posted July 1, 2007 #5 Posted July 1, 2007 The computer board in the dash could also have bad solder joints you may want to resolder the board as the headlight voltage goes through it. Jeff
Dusk Posted July 1, 2007 Author #6 Posted July 1, 2007 I feel like a dope... it was the fuse. I bet it blew due to the starter issue. I have no other idea why it would. I took the opportunity to change the headlamp bulb. Much brighter now. My sis said we should have taken pictures to document the replacement of the fuse and headlamp bulb to upload here
