PITBULL Posted July 1, 2007 #1 Posted July 1, 2007 I have an '83 standard.....the clutch resevoir (sp) ran dry so i put more fluid in and she was back to normal in a flash. That lasted about 15 miles the when I pulled in on the clutch there was NOTHING again. After I limped her home I checked the fluid level and it looked fine. Is there a place to bleed that system? Maybe I got some air in there messin' with things.
Redneck Posted July 1, 2007 #2 Posted July 1, 2007 On the left side top of the case behind the rear cylinder there is a square rubber cover the bleeder is under that cover facing straight up.
GeorgeS Posted July 1, 2007 #4 Posted July 1, 2007 you might have to pump fluid in from the cylinder up to the Master. However, you might have to rebuild your Clutch Slave cylinder, and the master. On the slave, its probably better to just get a new one instead of a rebuild kit.
Guest venture 777 Posted July 11, 2007 #5 Posted July 11, 2007 I had the same problem with two first generation ventures the slave cylinder was the culprit. You can buy a rebuild kit for around $20.00
