Yep it is a HD.. If it was a Yamaha it would have stuck around for the fight...But that bike tucked its tail and ran..yep is was a HD:stickpoke:

Now - where did I mention H-D in my original post?

Gee you guys are cynical - BUT ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! ! !

I agree with ALL of the above sentiments.

Do you think we should send this thread across to a H-D site somewhere and see what sort of reaction we get?

Regardless of the bike, I do think it was a HD Road King, it appears the guy was running from the LEO, running red lights etc and he tapped the bike much like they do cars. As soon as the guy regains his feet he was off and running. Still got caught. :clap2:

Looks like he got what was deservered.

Looked like a little more than a tap... If I was that Dude I'd be getting me a Back Doctor and a good Lawyer and go after that SOB's job and some money..

It is gratifying to see the Lawmen take down a clown like that. Too bad the fall did not break a half dozen bones and knock some sense into that idiot.

Can you imagine the harm he could have done if he plowed into a group of little kids on that bike?

The stupid shall be punished and it looks like that dude got a bit of it.

So it goes and so did he....right into the slammer.:happy65:

I also don't think that it is a Yamaha. However, I don't like the part where the rider got rear ended. The rider had one expensive day ahead of him.

Hey Boomer what's this your Sheriff John Bunnell impersonation???

I found the full version of this chase and the cop "taps" the biker twice and when the Biker slows down to pull over and give up the cop rams him and knocks him off his bike and the riderless bike goes across 4+ lanes of traffic.. Was the Biker reckless? Absolutely.. But this Officer of the Law was on tilt and was every bit as reckless... He was already close enough to get the plate number and had the guy on video... That cop car can do more damage than a bike...

Having been in Law Enforcement for 37 years, I know that we don't chase unless it's for a serious felony. It appeared to me that the officer was sitting there waiting for the bike to go by. At the end of the tape you can hear the officer tell the suspect to drop the gun before telling him to get on the ground. Therefore The officer had knowledge that the suspect had a gun or used a gun in commision of a crime. This just wasn't a chase for a traffic violation. Also I would mention that the other officer at the end of the tape mention a shot being fired (I think, I couldn't hear very well due to the noise).

Chasing a motorcycle is not fun, I totaled a brand new 74 Chry chasing a motorcycle in a head on crash. Any chase is not fun. You take on a lot of responsibility in doing so.

As for the bike being a HD, I have to agree. Not a Yahama. Now we know why some of our Law Enforcement agencies are moving to other makes of bikes.
