GeorgeS Posted June 30, 2007 #3 Posted June 30, 2007 look at photo's on 1st gen tech library, fork seal replacement Scroll down
ChurchBuilder Posted June 30, 2007 #4 Posted June 30, 2007 I put a superbrace on and I didn't feel much difference in the handling. They are basically the same shape as the stock fork brace only thicker.
Rick Butler Posted June 30, 2007 #5 Posted June 30, 2007 Well Guys, There is a big difference from the stock one. The first ones made in 86/87 were an overkill and about 2" thick. The later ones were around 1" which is more than sufficient. The main difference is that the super brace was a precise fit rather than a loose one where the mating surface on the fork is an elipse rather than a radius. Both super braces were flat on top and polished and had stainless allen screws rather than flanged cap screws on the stock brace. Hope this helps, Rick
GigaWhiskey Posted June 30, 2007 #6 Posted June 30, 2007 The SuperBrace looks really nice. Goes very well with polished forks!
