I have the Baron Sub Sonic Mini Tach. I didn't pay their price since I got it from a member who never installed it.

I think it is worth the price though. Very good quality all around, from the chrome to the wiring and inner workings. It bounces some at idle, but is steady as a rock once you are going.

I too have a Baron's tach, same as what SaltyDawg linked to. I got the reservoir mount. It sits on top of my front brake reservoir. I really like it. I see a tach as a gotta-have accessory on the RSV.

I was seriously thinking of making that purchase along with the master cylinder mount. How does that location for the tach work out for you?

I have that mount too. It is a good spot easy to see. If I remember tomorrow I will take a pic while sitting on the bike to give you a riders view.

I also have the Barons tach mounted on the brake reservoir. It works fine. Attached is a photo of the mounted unit. Sorry it is not closer.

I'm happy with the position. It's not really line of site, but nothing short of a heads up display would be. It's certainly more noticeable than my Cruisader radar detector display which is mounted on the handlebars. Good thing the Cruisader has an LED that's mounted between the windshield vent and the top of the dash, otherwise I'd never notice it.
