frankd Posted November 7, 2008 #1 Posted November 7, 2008 Does anybody have a trailer suitable for hauling a Venture that I could rent? I live near Joliet IL. and will be heading southeast to pick up a 1st. Gen. Frank
Freebird Posted November 7, 2008 #2 Posted November 7, 2008 I don't have one that you can rent but I have one that you can borrow. You just have to figure out if it's worth the trip to the Cleveland, OH area to get it and bring it back. Otherwise, you are welcome to it.

Snarley Bill Posted November 7, 2008 #7 Posted November 7, 2008 not much help i guess but i have one in the st. louis mo area. had a couple of different first gens on it. your welcome to use it. bill:)
RedRider Posted November 8, 2008 #8 Posted November 8, 2008 When do you need it and for how long? I have a trailer in Fond du Lac, WI you could borrow. It is not enclosed, but would haul the bike fine. Has a front tire chock, tie downs, and a ramp. Am about 3 hours north of you, but could drag it down to my Bro's house in Geneva sometime soon. Since it is Fall/Winter, I will likely not need it for a while - unless I get a Tirdy Point Buck and need to haul it to the bar to show it off. RR
thumper1 Posted November 8, 2008 #9 Posted November 8, 2008 i have rented trailers from u haul twice and had no problems with them. at 19.95 a day its not a bad deal. thumper1
Guest BigJohnD Posted November 9, 2008 #10 Posted November 9, 2008 Pretty sure mine in Colorado will be of no help...but you can use it.
Monsta Posted November 9, 2008 #11 Posted November 9, 2008 Not to be viewed as inconsiderate, I'll offer mine for you to use as well. It's an 2007 Wells Cargo 6wx10lx7h enclosed trailer. It may be a PITA to get though.
frankd Posted November 9, 2008 Author #12 Posted November 9, 2008 Thanks everybody. Red Rider, Geneva woudn't be a bad trip, but the best information here is that U-Haul has trailers for rent for $20. This week I'll check the local rental places for what's available here. I'm picking the bike up in Muncie IN. After I put the question on the web page, my brother just SE of Champaign, IL told me he has a motorcycle trailer. It's got a bike parked on it now, but that's almost on the way to Muncie for me. BTW, I live near Joliet, IL. Thanks again everybody for the offers and the information!!!! Frank
