What Collar are you?

FROG MAN

Recommended Posts

About two days a week I work in the office (engineering) so that makes me a white collar worker. Two days a week in the field service makes me a blue collar worker. Tomorrow I got a meeting about a wind generator project so I should wear green. A few of my clients are all women but I'm not wearing pink. Ramona just brought home some homeade blackberry wine and now I don't have a shirt on at all.:rotfl::rotfl::big-grin-emoticon:

Expecting spillage, when drinking it, Froggy?????????

Since I'm in IT and work inside with servers and workstations and networks, etc... I guess I'm a white collar... however, I like to think I'm a red-necked White Collar!

:sign20:

I'm wherever needed, my shirt & jacket collars are a digital camouflage pattern (along with the rest of the uniform).......

I guess I'm supposed to be White but it turns Blue in a hurry when things go wrong.

Story about blackberry wine. 10 or 15 yrs ago I made 3 gallon. Came out really good. we drank one, I gave one to my brother and put the other one in the cellar. ( I still Have one)I thought it ought to be getting really good or could have gone bad... Son was in last year and I suggested we pull it out dust it off and try it. He looked a little embarrassed and said "Dad, Thats not wine thats grape kool-aid. We drank that wine years ago." We being him, sister and neighbor boy & girl. He said it was Good!!Now what kid would do anything like that??:whistling::innocent:

I bet he knew in the back of his mind that his sneaky little trick would eventually be discovered... haha...kids huh? He probably feels a bit of a weight off his shoulders now that the truth is out in the open!

I'm white collar now but was blue collar for many years. Worked as an industrial electrician for about 20 years. Guess I moved into the white collar world about 15 or 20 years ago. I actually miss the blue collar at times. In some ways, life seemed much simpler then.

Well, first of all, I do not claim to be a computer expert. I got interested in them though when I was still an electrician. During the end of my time with Texas Utilities Generating Company, a big part of my job was converting analog relay circuits to PLC controllers. I had to take some courses and learn ladder logic programming. That was the start of it all and then I just developed an interest in PCs and it hasn't stopped. It has always been nothing more than a hobby for me and everything I know about personal computers has come from not being afraid to break something. :) I have spent many long hours trying to fix something that I broke due to messing with things that I knew nothing about.

thats what i'm afraid of locking it up. one night a neigbor came by and did'nt have a computer, and he wanted to see what a porno site was like. well i got locked in on one and could'nt get out. had to call that religious buddy of mine to ask what to do. thats when i learned how to reboot. he says what are you doing on a porno site. i blamed it on my neighbor. funny thing was my buddy got his computer hung up a couple of months later and had to take it to the shop to have it fixed. i asked him how he got it all screwed up with his vast knowledge. said he got hung up on a porno site. go figure :rotf: :2133:
