After a lot of thought and consideration I have traded the Venture for a new Yamaha Rhino. Loved the Venture but the wife has kind of lost interest in riding this year. We only took 1 short trip to Eureka Springs, I think it has something to do with the grandkids. If I can I will get another bike to ride to work next spring but it won't be a touring bike, I'm getting old would like something alittle lighter. Anyway I wanted to say there are a bunch of nice folks and a lot of valuable information on this web site. I have learned a bunch from you'all and enjoyed meeting some of you at the Eureka Springs Rallys. Now if I can just find such a good web site for the Rhino I will be happy. So long and ride safe!

Hey just cause you got a rhino doesn't mean you can leave. You must have missed the small print when you signed on, you can't leave. This is more then just a bike group this is a family. Stick around.

Yamaha makes some nice smaller V Twins like the Roadstar 650 and 1100 then too theres the new Yamaha 500 scooter thats more like a touriong rig than a scooter, It even has automatic transmission. Like Mini said you don'tr have to leave based on being a Venture owner. Being a Venture owner is like being a world war II fighter pilot , just because you don't fly anymore doesn't mean yopu aren't a pilot.:big-grin-emoticon:

I also have a 2006 Rhino 660. I find it to be a very good off road machine. As Frogmaster said ask any questions. And a thank you to the Frogmaster for a lead to another forum to check out. I have changed the cdi box and installed the Grizzly sheave mod which makes the Rhino cruise really nice at 45-46 mph. I have also installed Maxxis Bighorn tires on Maxxis 4x4 wheels which have 1 inch more offset. With the offset rims and Bighorn 6 ply radials the Rhino has improved stability. I feel that it is a great machine and safety is at least in part in the hands of the operator. A winch is a good option. Enjoy the Rhino.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a 5 gallon bucket multiple tool holder about $12.00. Cut it in Half and add to the center cowling and passenger firewall area. Best thing I ever did to my Rhino. Thinking how I can add to my RSV LOL
