rod Posted November 3, 2008 #2 Posted November 3, 2008 Welcom to San Diego. Sent a PM. Are you the guy that brought the rain? If so thanks we need it. Rod
rod Posted November 4, 2008 #3 Posted November 4, 2008 If you have the time I do have more than one bike and we could get a ride in. I can come up with gear if you don't have yours. Let me know. Rod
nelsonrl Posted November 4, 2008 #4 Posted November 4, 2008 Wish I could, I make to San Diego about 3-4 times a year, but nothing planned over the next couple of weeks
rod Posted November 4, 2008 #5 Posted November 4, 2008 For any one who gets to San Diego I have more than one bike and extra gear and access to helmets. If you want to get together for coffee or ride let me know. My schedule is flexible. We ride year round and have lots of great roads. Ride safe Rod
rod Posted November 7, 2008 #6 Posted November 7, 2008 Gonna pick up Bill at 10:00 at 32nd st main gate and we will go for a ride. He can choose where to. The weather should be nice. Rod
rod Posted November 8, 2008 #7 Posted November 8, 2008 Well we had a good day. I picked up Bill and had to go by the training range for a few minutes of work. While there Bill got a helmet that fit him and we were off to my house to get the bikes. Bill rode the Venture and I took the Virago. Minor problem, bad battery on the Virago so we bump started it. The plan was to go east to the desert but at lunch in Patrero found there were high winds that direction. Jump started the Virago and went back down hwy94. We stopped by the Lyons Valley Trading Post so he could meet Black Jack. We got home and had a nice visit and dinner before I took him back to the ship. Thanks Bill I had a good time.
sarges46 Posted November 8, 2008 #8 Posted November 8, 2008 That was good of you to let Bill ride your bike.....what a group. But I am afraid you may have tainted a 1st genner into thinking he wants a 2nd gen now! How did he like the bike?
rod Posted November 8, 2008 #9 Posted November 8, 2008 He did say he would like a 2 gen. So I would say he liked it a lot! He noted better wind protection with my bike and over all comfort. Rod
