Marine Week Heroes Ride tomorrow, anyone else in Northern IL going?

Calling all riders in Northern IL, looks like a great ride for a great cause.

Hey I'm joining my buddies tomorrow. it''s my 1st time on this run, too.

This was a great ride, one I'll definitely do again.

People were lining the streets, waving flags, thumbs up, clapping.

 

Firetrucks at almost every station had their ladders suspended over the road, US Flag hanging below. The firefighters seemed to have this very organized.

 

All lights/intersections were blocked, only had to stop for the occasional slinky effect.

 

Saw a lot of great bikes including one other 2000 MM edition, #245 I think.

 

Also saw about 3 or 4 other Ventures, one black beauty with quad pipes bent down, sounded great.

 

There were a lot of Victory Visions's (Ugly, IMO) and a bunch of the cruisers, which are quite nice.

 

Was great to be in the company of so many other Marines too.
