Dano Posted November 1, 2008 #28 Posted November 1, 2008 May 30th it is, then. At least I won't be putting the bike back together the night before!! All you planning your vacations, don't forget about the Int'l Rally out at the Hub!! We need a big turn-out again this year! Dan
Marcarl Posted November 1, 2008 #29 Posted November 1, 2008 Ya that 'should' work. Marcarl's is normally the Saturday after the Victoria Day weekend so that makes it the 23rd this year. Now we'll have something to do if the forecast is bad for either weekend. Guess I won't be going to one or the other,,, now I have to choose,,, man that's going to be hard.
bongobobny Posted November 1, 2008 #30 Posted November 1, 2008 Thanks, Carl, that answers my question about conflicting with your annual get together. Now we stand a chance of making both events! Frog Man, Becky and I will be spending the week of July 4th in Pennsylvania Dutch Clountry area, probably staying at a hotel near Ceedoo's. Maybe we could meet up somewhere inbetween that week for a ride or something. We are also going to try to make the Skid In at least for a day...
Guest cyote61 Posted November 1, 2008 #31 Posted November 1, 2008 Almost time to schedule vacation for 2009. I think I can make the Skid Inn in June no problem.Maybe another full week during the summer for a rally somewhere.I told the boss an extra week of vacation time would be nice? He was not excited. I ask my boss the same thing! She said good idea, leave now and give me a break. My boss is my wife, you recon that was a hint?
FROG MAN Posted November 1, 2008 Author #32 Posted November 1, 2008 Does the Oberlin Inn offer a discount for Venture riders maint day event. There on line rate is $139 night for 2 occupants. It's been two years since we stayed there and memory is a little rusty.

It's been two years since we stayed there and memory is a little rusty. I think they did last year. If I'm not mistaken, Lonna set it up. Maybe she'll see this and reply with the details. If not, I'll try to get with them in the next few days. Don't remember how many rooms we blocked last year.

dr_bar Posted November 2, 2008 #45 Posted November 2, 2008 All you planning your vacations, don't forget about the Int'l Rally out at the Hub!! We need a big turn-out again this year! Hell, forget about the international??? Not likely, but I'm going to have to take my whole 6 week compliment to make that trip as it falls right before a couple of other committments I've made. I'm escorting a friend to the AMA's womens conference in Colorado next August. She'll more than likely be with me for the Int'l then we'll take a leisurely ride tothe conference and I'll hang around the Denver area for the duration and meet up with her for the return trip. I'm then heading to the Okanogan for a week to recoup before going back to work. Dang, I sure hope that I'm able to book the weeks I need...
