craigatcsi Posted October 30, 2008 #1 Posted October 30, 2008 I have an 07 Venture that is Blue / Black. It is ready for tires and I am thinking about putting Wide Whitewalls on her. Do any of you have them on your Venture, (preferably same colors) and could post a pic or two? This way I can see how mine would look ahead of time. I am familiar with Metzler from my last Kaw 1500 Classic, but other than those I'm not sure which to choose. My dealer tells me that Metzler doesnt make them for the Venture in Whitewalls. So I thought would search a couple of forums to see which is most liked. craigr
mini-muffin Posted October 30, 2008 #2 Posted October 30, 2008 Don't buy the metzler for these bikes. Seems to be a problem with them losing chunks of rubber. I know someone on here has white walls not sure who or if it's the same bike as you have. Margaret
Brake Pad Posted October 30, 2008 #3 Posted October 30, 2008 (edited) It looks good in Red, looks real antique I also lost a chunk off my rear tire. I had the ME880, Be Ware....... Edited October 30, 2008 by Brake Pad

BradT Posted October 30, 2008 #5 Posted October 30, 2008 I have White walls. Never really liked them at first, but the bike had them when I bought it, and it grew on me. I keep replacing them ever since. See my profile pic, but the bike colour is Dark pink as Freebird calls it. Brad
pegscraper Posted October 30, 2008 #6 Posted October 30, 2008 Dark pink? How is there any dark pink on that bike? I have WWs too, and wouldn't not have them. I don't have any black or blue on mine though. In fact, it's not even a Venture. For WW tires in the stock size, Dunlop or Maxxis are the only choices. If you happen to want to use the narrower front tire that some of us like, then you can use Avon tires. But Avon doesn't make a WW in the stock front size.
BradT Posted October 30, 2008 #7 Posted October 30, 2008 Dark pink? How is there any dark pink on that bike?. I don't see it either, but maybe he just likes PINK, eh Don ? Brad
Eck Posted October 30, 2008 #8 Posted October 30, 2008 I have the Avon White Walls and feel they look ok on my 05. You can click on my name above to get to my profile and look at my bike pics

dragerman Posted October 30, 2008 #11 Posted October 30, 2008 Now here’s a handsome looking bike, it belongs to GaryN. The picture was taken at Carl’s meet and great. I think they look great with the black cherry and now have them on mine.
