Info for Marines

This is for anyone who was stationed or lived at Camp Lejeune between 1957-1987. Evidently there was some sort of chemical in the drinking water during this time. The Marines are sending out letters, but just in case you haven't heard yet thought I'd pass this on. I saw the story on our local news so I looked for info. I know we have some retired Marines on here. Just thought I'd pass it along.

I got a letter a couple of weeks. Did what they asked and now waiting for them to respond. Can't figure out why it took them 20 years to start contacting everyone about it.

Called one of my best friends this morning to make sure she knew. She drank the water at Camp Lejeune while pregnant. Her daughter has seizures. Her husband was stationed there 6 years.

Well seems to be the way things work.

The news didn't really go into any details on what the effects could be. Just made me worried. If it took them 20yrs to get in touch with folks, how long will it take to tell them all? Kinda why I posted just in case.

So what's up with the H2O? I have a brother and 2 nephews that fall into that time period. That link didn't shed any light.

thanks for the heads up. i spent 2 years with the 2nd mardiv in the early 80,s. never heard a thing which is strange because my brother retired from the 2nd and still lives in jacksonville.
