Iowa Guy Posted June 26, 2007 #1 Posted June 26, 2007 Left turn signal doesn't seem to work when I apply the switch. When I apply the 4 way flasher all lights work. I assume that it means that I have a switch problem at the left handlebar control. Iowa Guy
Squeeze Posted June 26, 2007 #2 Posted June 26, 2007 Connection on the Handlebar-Switch or the Wireing Harness Connector might be bad, check and clean both and this will be gone.
bongobobny Posted June 26, 2007 #3 Posted June 26, 2007 Squeeze is right but to answer your question yes, if the 4 ways work then the problem is most likely in the switch. The connector would be the best place to start...
Squeeze Posted June 26, 2007 #4 Posted June 26, 2007 Hey, sorry for disregarding your Question in my first Post. I'll try to do better next Time !
Iowa Guy Posted June 26, 2007 Author #5 Posted June 26, 2007 Squeeze & Bongobobny, Thanks for the reply. Indeed, left suddenly started working again. Guess that I need to check and clean those two connectors. Thanks. Iowa Guy
Iowa Guy Posted October 10, 2007 Author #7 Posted October 10, 2007 Connection on the Handlebar-Switch or the Wireing Harness Connector might be bad, check and clean both and this will be gone. Where do I locate the wiring harness connector? Iowa Guy
Iowa Guy Posted October 14, 2007 Author #8 Posted October 14, 2007 Its fixed. I went out to the local dealer, described the problem to the mechanic there and watch as he respectfully but oh so obviously glanced at me with his - OMG, doesn't he know anything - look. The answer: WD-40 Now I am carrying some in the side bag right along side the duc tape. Iowa Guy
