CB usage

Taking a road trip tomorrow. Are there general channels to go to for information and such? All I know about our CB is I make sure all bikes are on the same channel. Squelch, etc. I have no clue really how to get the most of it.

My group usually uses CB 3 as its a relatively low usage freq. I know of no channel you'll get any info on though. A lot of guys use 19, so if you do need info, you might go there and see if you can scare up anyone. Remember our CBs have a range of MAYBE 1.5 miles. Probably 3/4 is more like it.

In addition to these, VentureRider.org has pretty much standardized on channel 29 when we get together for group rides. That is also what my other friends and I use.
