Cinderella Posted October 20, 2008 #1 Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) hard to believe its been another month already...... time for another court hearing tomorrow morning...... wonder how months this will go on before something happens?? I did find out something last week that kind of upset me....i asked the detective handling our case if there had been any dna testing done from H's clothes, swabs, etc just in case this goes to trial.....NO..he said he goofed up by not doing it ( on the perp) the night the guy was arrested..now its in the hands of the court.... I simply wonder why they wouldnt order it now ( just in case) instead of waiting months down the rode if theres a trial and then having to wait months more for the results?????????? Why not have it done and ready? Edited October 21, 2008 by Cinderella
mini-muffin Posted October 20, 2008 #3 Posted October 20, 2008 Welcome to the wonderful confusing world of the judicial system. They evidently do things on their own time line. Just don't get discouraged. As long as you all are ok that's the important part to all of us. Hang in there darlin we'll be here to go through this with you. Sorry we aren't closer to help you out more. Margaret
Ozark Posted October 20, 2008 #4 Posted October 20, 2008 The slow arm of the law is upsetting to the innocent and the victims. Hang in there and just keep going forward. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Why not have it done and ready? Good luck in court. I would imagine this thing is going to go on for a while. A little note about the DNA. There was a murder case here that had went on for two years and I notice in the paper the other day that they arrested a young man for the murder because they had just got the DNA test results. Don't mean to make you guys feels any worse about this than you do but that sure was a long time for test results I'm thinking. The police said that the Lab was back logged. Good Luck, Jerry

Guest tessa c2 Posted October 21, 2008 #9 Posted October 21, 2008 hang tight cindy, everything takes time, some a lot more time, we are still here for you:fingers-crossed-emo
VTirelli Posted October 21, 2008 #10 Posted October 21, 2008 Not sure how it works down there Cindy, but up here, they don't do DNA unless it looks like the case will go to trial. DNA testing is very expensive and if it looks like there will be a plea in the case, it doesn't need to be done. Hopefully, it won't be needed and this POS will go away for a long time. Patience.....this kind of stuff takes time. Any questions, feel free to call.
Cinderella Posted October 21, 2008 Author #11 Posted October 21, 2008 well i wish they would get their microphones workings in that court room.... couldnt hear a word they said this morning and we were in row 2 His lawyer talked quite a bit to the judge when he was called.....and there was also someone from prosecutors i believe who was up there this time....she wasnt last time. Have never met our victim advocate in person only on phone so maybe it was her. anyways they set another hearing for 2 weeks this time.......sure wish i could have heard what was said. Im going to call the prosecutors office later today and see if i can find out anything about what was said up there. and he knew we were there for sure today.....clear visual on him most of the time....and i know he saw us looking at him, as my eyes rarely left him..... http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/rella_photo/test/chairshot.gif http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/rella_photo/test/bash.gif http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/rella_photo/test/pyth.gif
